I play the intro/verses like this...I fingerpick just the bottom four strings during the song (E-A-D-G) using the following chord shapes. Being that this song is in 3/4 time (Waltz Time), each note is one beat, with the first low E being beat 1 of the first measure, and the F# at the Em7 being beat 1 of the second measure. Each note of the pull off falls evenly on beats 4 and 5.

P=Pull Off (finger pick the first note and release to the next w/o picking)

  E          Em7
E-0-----------2-----------
A---2-------2---0---------     "E Riff"
D-----2---2-------2-----2-
G-------1-----------2P1---
  1 2 3 4 5 6 1 2 3 4 5 6  <---Beats

The chorus utilizes all the strings, but still mainly focuses on the bottom four. Use barre chords for all except the D7; it's much easier. Ryan plays one measure of the chord shape in the normal note per beat fashion followed by one measure of a triplet. You'll hear it in the recording, and I'll map it out below.

  G#m               A                 Am                D7
E-4-----------------5-----------------5------------------------
A---6-------6---------7-------7---------7-------7--------------
D-----6---6-------6-----7---7-------7-----7---7-------7-0------
G-------4-------4---------6-------6---------5-------5-----2----
B-------------4-----------------5-----------------5---------1--
e-------------------------------------------------------------2 (Hold)
  1 2 3 4 5 6 Triplt1 2 3 4 5 6 Triplt1 2 3 4 5 6 Triplt1 2 3 456

The next is for the "Silver and Gold" section of the chorus. Repeat the
G-C(add 9) section 3 times, then play the 4th time as the lead in back to
the verse.

  G          C(add 9)      G           G/F#
E-3----------------------|-3-----------2-----------
A-------------3----------|-------------------------
D------------------------|-------------------------
G---0-------0---0-------0|---0-------0---0-------0-
B-----3---3-------3---3--|-----3---3-------3---3---
e-------3-----------3----|-------3-----------3-----
  1 2 3 4 5 6 1 2 3 4 5 6  1 2 3 4 5 6 1 2 3 4 5 6
